The stability of the automatic placement machine
SMT is a technology. In this chapter, we introduced SMD in detail. How are the parts installed on the PCB? What is the SMT manufacturing process? This requires the use of certain machinery and equipment to complete. In this chapter, we will introduce in detail the understanding and precautions of SMT equipment, SMT process technology and peripheral items.
1. SMT use equipment:
There are seven types of commonly used equipment: Loader, Stacker, Solder printer, Highspeed mounter, Coveryor, Multi function mounter, Reflow oven (Reflow), Unloader (Unloader), Optical Inspection Instrument (AOI), Perspective Inspection Instrument (X-RAY) In addition, for normal production, an air compressor must be equipped to supply air to the machine.
2. The function of each equipment:
1) The plate loader CB is placed in the Rack to automatically send the plate to the plate suction machine.
2) Suction board machine: automatically pick up the PCB and place it on the track, and transfer it to the printing machine.
3) Printing machine: The solder paste on the laser steel and the red glue are completely printed on the PCB.
4) High-speed machine: install the parts on the designated part position by using the program editing of the equipment. It can install the roll-shaped parts below SOP 28pin. It is characterized by fast loading speed.

6) General-purpose machine: install the parts on the designated part position by editing the program of the equipment, and can install SOP 28pin or more (including parts that can be installed in high-speed machines) in rolls, discs or tubular packaging parts. Other It is characterized by high loading accuracy and diversification, but the loading speed is inferior to high-speed machines.
7) Reflow furnace: use the SMT solder paste to set the appropriate temperature curve to complete the soldering action between the solder paste and the parts.

9) Optical detector: Automatic optical inspection is a device based on optical principles to detect common defects encountered in welding production. AOI is a new type of testing technology that has only emerged in recent years, but it has developed rapidly. At present, many manufacturers have launched AOI testing equipment. During automatic detection, the machine automatically scans the PCB through the camera, collects images, compares the tested solder joints with the qualified parameters in the database, and after image processing, checks out the defects on the PCB, and displays/labels the defects through the display or automatic signs out for repair by the maintenance crew.
10) X-ray machine: mainly used to detect various industrial components, electronic components, and the inside of circuits. For example, the internal circuit connection of socket plug rubber, the internal welding of diodes, the detection of BGA welding, etc. The X-ray machine is an X-ray machine that can be connected to a computer for image processing. This type of portable X-ray machine for industrial inspection provides an excellent solution for the field of factory appliance maintenance.
3. SMT production process: After understanding the functions of each SMT equipment, how does each equipment operate coherently to achieve automated production? According to different PCB and production requirements, the production process can be divided into three types:
Before introducing the three production processes, we first have a better understanding of PCB.
PCB (English full name “Print Circuit Board”) Chinese meaning “printed integrated circuit board” can be divided into single panel and double panel in terms of SMD mounting surface.
Single-sided boards are single-mounted SMDs; double-sided boards are double-mounted SMDs. In order to facilitate the distinction, we divide the PCB into two sides, A and B. Side A is where many ICs are installed. Or without parts installed author.
